It’s about a year ago…
The kids waiting with anticipation for their baby sibling to arrive.
-Not sure to be excited or anxious.-
Peter finishing up his never ending work and at the same time being home to take care of us.
-I’m still not sure how he managed to do that, but he did.-
Me sitting in the beige rocking chair, sipping away tea.
-By now I could pretend I was savoring every moment, but it was more like wishing away every minute…-
It’s about a year ago…
The early morning call for the babysitter and the rushing to the birthing center.
The miracle of the safe arrival of our precious son.
The love of my life with a bundle of baby sitting in an arm chair on the other side of the room. Beams of morning light peaking through the shades, lighting up this picture perfect scene.
I thought the value and the beauty of that moment too heavy for a simple picture. So I took a mental snapshot, to save and treasure for always. Deep, deep in my heart.
Today I was watching them. Holding on to each other. While looking at a peacock in the park.
The love of my life and the precious baby boy.
The bundle of baby is now a one year old climbing the bench.
Unwrapping gifts.
Enjoying every single bit of his pancake (and finishing the whole thing!!).
Exploring the world.
In love with balls and balloons.
Interacting with his siblings. (Demanding them to share their ice cream with him.)
Figuring out the cause-effect-relation of certain actions and toys.
Our little bundle of baby, our joy, the one who came and thought us that God brings rest, our happy little guy.
He is one!
